Galleries of Justice, Nottingham

The Galleries of Justice are an infamous location for every paranormal investigator to visit. The layers of history are something to behold and contain fear on every floor. This is not an evening for the faint hearted, whether it be the court rooms, cells, transportation area or court yard that sends a chill down your spine. Come and spend an evening locked in at the Galleries of Justice with us!
History
The history associated with the Galleries of Justice is extensive. It is known that there has been a court on the land where the current building stands since 1375 and a prison since 1449, although the caves below the building (which form part of the Galleries) are thought to be significantly older). It is thought that this was the only place in Britain where you could be tried, convicted and sentenced in the same place -- plus it is said that some were executed in what is now the entrance hall to the building.
The majority of what can be seen at the Galleries of Justice today is as it would have been in the 18th century, particularly the courtyard and women's area of the prison, comprising of the bathing and laundry rooms.
Moving in to more modern times, the building was used as a police station and court room until the 1980's - rarely can you find a location where its use has been so consistent for such a long period of time.
